MONTEFALCO (PERUGIA) – A virtual toast in order to join a moment of union and vigour in this very complicated period. A period which is the same in all the world. The “virtual toast” is an event planned by Consorzio Tutela Vini Montefalco. The producers and the institutions will be on line, Sunday 22nd of March, at 19:30 (Italian time). They will be all together, uncorking a bottle of Montefalco Sagrantino Docg, and creating a gorgeous virtual flash mob. Confirmed the presence of the Mayor of Montefalco, mr Luigi Titta, and of the president of Umbria, miss Donatella Tesei.
“Conviviality, union, meetings, are the words which better characterize the real strength of our wine – these are the words of the president of Consorzio Tutela Vini Montefalco, Filippo Antonelli -. This event has been created in order to recreate, even though only virtually speaking, a real union, a real conviviality moment among people, hoping the real life will be established again, as soon as possible. The very complicated and difficult moment, in which we are living in, has forced all of us to change our way of living. Because of that, we are trying to short the distances, but, for the moment, this is possible only in a virtual way. However, this idea is a way to give hope to the wine sector. The Consorzio, thus, wants to completely participate to all of this, thanks to the big flash mob he has organized, called Splash Mob: a splash of Sagrantino. The flash mob will have to be considered as a wave of optimism, in a such hard period. This event can help us to live enjoyable moments with our wine; a wine born to be shared. The flash mob will be on the Facebook web page of Consorzio (https://www.facebook.com/consorzio.montefalco/). From there, all the people who want to take place at the event will be welcomed to do so. Turning on the messages and the videos for the live recording of Consorzio Tutela Vini Montefalco, the users will have a notification all the times a live recording will appear on Facebook. Moreover, using the #sagrantinosplashmob hashtag, there will be the possibility, for the users, to publish a picture of themselves with a bottle of Sagrantino. This picture will be added on the social channels of Consorzio. The initiative can be considered as being in the city centre of Montefalco, in Piazza, enjoying a relaxing moment, drinking a glass of wine, all together. Producers and institutions will uncork a bottle of Montefalco Sagrantino Docg, in order to have a big and meaningful virtual toast, which can help to feel people all linked, even though distant. The hope is to call off any distances as soon as possible.
